They didn't stop Saddam Hussein gassing people. Rumsfeld actually sold the stuff he used.

They also took no notice of the genocide in Rwanda.

Israel continues to oppress the Palestinians in one of the longest lasting repression operations in history, with no question of the Western world enforcing any of the 50 or so UN resolutions upon them..

So not stopping the Chinese massacres in Tibet seems about par for the course.

unfortunately, the western world is one which holds money above all else. it was not cost effective to save the tibetans. very sad. we wont intervene now because of business links with the bloody chinese. money money money. its sickening really.

The west was wrong to ignore it, but I fear it is now too late for anything to be done about it.
