44% of Americans polled have stated that they would NEVER vote for her. This number has been constant for over a year. That along with her being the most conservative candidate the democrats have AND that she has no personality to speak of is the main reason why the Republicans keep propping her up oas the number one contender.
She is the easiest one to beat, of all the serious contenders, if she gets the nomination.

I think she has a shot, a very good one. I've been sort of shocked about two things. One is the number of men who have stated they will vote for her, that number is higher than I ever thought it would be. You might expect it to be high in California, or on the Eastern Seaboard, but in Middle America? I live in a typical Midwestern blue collar area and on New Year's Eve we went to a huge party filled with union workers for the most part. As the evening went on politics, of course, reared it head and I sat in shock as many of the bricklayers stated openly they would vote for Hillary Clinton if she ran. The other thing is the amount of women who are on the fence about her, especially successful strong and single women. I think they are the key to her election and I have confidence that after seeing and hearing her talk about the issues regularly on a national level they will stand behind her. Her biggest failing is that she is perceived as cold or calculating. Her campaign managers know this very well, and I think we'll see her make more of an effort to appeal to the masses from an emotional standpoint. We'll see her looking more relaxed, open, and more emotionally accessible than ever before.
The real test? The debates. This is an area in which she will excel and the debates are the key for many voters who aren't sure which way they will vote as elections draw near. Debates have caused candidates who seemed sure to win fall into low numbers, and have lifted others into a position to win when they didn't stand a chance beforehand.
EDIT: Just another note. The same things people are saying about her electability were said in New York. The Republican pundits claimed to the end she had no chance. Yet she won, and overwhelmingly, both times.

I think at this point in time I am going to keep my options open, I think Hillary Clinton would make a fine president and would probably vote for her if she winds up being the candidate. I will not vote for any repuglican ever again for any office but I might go to third party candidate if they were moderate enough and a social liberal. People that don't know who Hillary is before she become first lady should by all means do some research and find out what kind of person she really is. She came from a moderate, middle income family in the middle west and guess what. So do I.

Once she hits the campaign trail and people hear her message of hope for this country and realize the lady has a lot on the ball, she'll be unstoppable. If people would open their ears and listen to what she has to say, they'd realize that she has the best interests of this country in mind: withdrawing from Iraq, balancing the budget after a surplus got squandered, health care for everyone, the list is endless. Only the people with small minds and those who are bigoted towards a woman running the country - and God knows there are plenty of those people - will refuse to listen to what she has to say and make an intelligent decision about voting for her. You decide: John McCain - a Bush lapdog who wants to send even more troops to Iraq; Hillary - withdraw the troops and let the Iraqi people decide their own fate. Or do you like seeing those flag-dragped coffins on the news every night? A Clinton/Obama ticket will steamroll over the Republicans.

Hillary is too stupid to annswer any question from a reporter, so she will go on a listening tour, and the stupid voters will think she is brilliant.

Ordinarily, I don't think she'd have a chance. She's a VERY polarizing figure, and I don't think she'd attract many of the undecided "middle of the road" voters. For one thing...she was a hard core liberal for her entire life...UNTIL the last couple of years, when it was obvious to everyone she was trying to position herself back away from the left-wing fringe...in order to set up a run for President. And as one of those undecideds (voted Libertarian the last two elections)...I WON'T support a politician who'll completely throw away her lifelong convictions just to position herself for a run for ANY office. Quite frankly, I think the only chance she has is that Bush has been so damn incompetent, that this next election there are going to be a lot of "anybody but another Republican" votes...and they give her a shot.
I'd hate to see another Repulbican get elected in 2008. I think that it will probably be the Democrat's election to lose...and the ONLY chance a Republican would have is if the Democrats nominate a very divisive candidate like Hillary Clinton.

I think she has a very small chance.
Its the Re-publican's race to lose.
Having the Democrats back in majority does not help her chances. Voters are likely to split their tickets and elect a Republican to counter the liberals in Congress.
That means Hillary will lose.
