I work at a wal-mart and I see people and there kids every day. my question is what are the parents thinking. I see kids as young as like 8 and 9 in these slutty cloths and there buying them these bratz dolls. Are they asking for there kids to want to be slutty and get raped. Why is society buying these dolls and letting there kids act like this are they blind.

They often looked down upon because they are they young people think they are unable to provide and care for their children like grown adults I would think meaning 30+. Many of these parents become single, and are also unmarried which makes it worse. But I don't see how society can blame or look down upon the mother, cause their their are so many different scenarios as to which the father makes an unstable or harmful environment for the child. I am a 19 yrs old single mother. I tried very hard to make it work with my son's father and honestly don't know if he'll step up anytime soon. I don't think he's gone forever we do keep in contact but I can't force anybody to do anything. I am in college, I got a job and will be buying a car and living independently by I'm estimating late summer/ early fall. I have a lot of support with my son, he has a lot of positive male role models, as well as strong females such as myself and his grandmother. I have a lot of goals for myself and will succeed even with this child. Lori A should get the best answer. I just wanted to add, I do regret having my child young and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't. It's really not worth it to me. Just being honest. But I didn't have a choice to begin with.

I think the problem is that parents don't want to be parents anymore. They want to be friends with their children. Having that mindset prevents the parents from ever telling a kid "No", setting specific rules or demading respect.
If the kids don't respect their parents, they will not respect themselves. I see young kids wearing more makeup than I wear as an adult! I don't doubt that in three years, these little hoochie-mamas-in-training will have children. They are growing up too fast and their parents are not doing anything to curb that. :-(

Not all parents are like that, but I totally agree with you.
I have even seen a girl that looked about 7 in "slutty clothes" as you refer to them, and she was singing "check on it" and she knew the complete lyrics!

Makes you think eh?
