You cannot use Vonage through T-Mobile. GPRS only supports 115kbps at its best and this is not fast enough to use Vonage. You would have to use a high speed internet connection like cable, dsl, etc. You could possibly take a portable Vonage adapter with you to use at a hotel or internet cafe instead.

You can roam in India with a US T-Mobile phone (thus with a US mobile number). However, it will cost you $3/minute to use. Also, your handset must operate on the frequencies used in India. The most popular band is the 900MHz band, followed by 1800MHz. Many new phones are capable of using these bands. A phone with all 4 bands is called a quad band phone. A tri band phone has 3, but it could be two North American bands (850, 1900) and one World band (900 OR 1800).

I have a motorola rizr z3. T-mobile sevice. I like my phone, it can hold alot of songs, which is good cuz i love music. Takes great pics. I like the style, its a slider. It's kinda falling apart, the buttons are falling out. It ain't my fault, they used some type of sticky substance to hold down the navigational button and the middle button to the phone. The middle button is somewhere, who knows? I can do without that. Do you know how many times the navigational button has gone missing? I have to tear down the place to look for the piece of button! T-mobile is expensive, i don't know about other services. T-mobile is all i know and i cant wait for my contract to finish. My rant is over now lol
