I think it's true. I had some girlfriends lie to me about stupid things. I'm sure men do it too but it can't be nearly as often.

False. This is typical gender view. The same statement uttered by different gender would connote different meaning from just this kind of gender talk. Besides, many statements cannot be taken at face value, as the tone of voice and the manner of delivery and the setting has a lot to do with what's said and whether that is taken as lies or hidden meaning that the person fails to hear. Listening is a difficult skill. However, female is better at it then men.

I don't think that lying is something specific to gender. However, the type of lie is. Men lie about money and power. For example, men would say he's a CEO or war hero. This is a ploy to attract mates and escape from reality. On the other hand, women commonly wear hair weaves, make-up and false boobs. This is also a technic to attract mates and escape reality.

Chris Rock has a great thing on this, he says men tell more lies than women but our lies are not as "evil" as women's. His examples were something along the lines of: Men will say they were working late when they were really drinking a beer with a friend (an often told lie) while women will say "It's your baby." LOL - I love Chris Rock.

In my group of friends i find that the women won't tell lies to each other but the men will tell lies to any off us.
so in my book that's 25% women 75% men.
But we are better at mind games then men.

False. It's probably equal. Although from what I have seen women do it deliberately whereas men do it more to guard what they really think or feel. Sorry.. not trying to generalize here.. just a thought...

I'm sure it's split evenly.
I used to lie a lot. It scares me when I think about how much. I couldn't keep track and when I got caught, I felt like I was going to die. I've been clean ever since (except for those necessary white lies).
The truth hurts sometimes...

Relatively true. Men tell graver lies though and if you count as lies the grunts or unintelligible words they give when asked about something, then the scale is pretty much balanced.

I don't think women lie anymore than men. Both sexes lie, I think men are less adept in hiding lies as with women we are more astute.
