id like to get a Shoei helmet but they are so expensive. does anyone have any experience with ICON helmets? Or even jackets? im also looking at the ICON Motorhead jacket. Its between the ICON jacket and a Joe Rocket blaster 3.0. THe blaster looks like it would be so cool in the heat. Im also looking at the ICON Perimiter helmet and the Shoei TZ-R. Thanks for any opinions.

an Icon lid saved my brain after a 60mph accident in September. I will not change, they are great!

a year ago, I started with the Ducati "Battle of the Twins" jacket, an Arai helmet, and some nice german made leather gloves.

Now I'm all icon. It didn't happen on purpose, that's just the way my taste gravitated. I have two Icon (black merc & the hooligan) jackets, gloves, and the alliance battlecry helmet.

I heard one complaint from a salesman about the way merc jackets tend to press into neck necklines. Thought I've felt pressure, I don't have a prob here and suspect its because I ride more upright.

I'm happy with the helmet- there is more room between the mouthguard and my therefore more ventilation. It's been a bane in cold weather (nothing a scarf/baklava wont take care of) but will be a boon in the summer.

And very happy with the gloves (merc shorties). They go on and off easily and sport carbon fibre knuckles that also match the trim on my bike : ).

IMO icon gear has very good design & quality with modest pricing. .

I bought the Icon Burner jacket a few years back. Man, I loved that thing. It was gorgeous.

Unfortunately, the smallest size I could get was Small which was too big for me. I ended up selling it on ebay.

It was a good quality jacket, but I have heard that their sizes do tend to run large. In this case it was true.

I like their leather overlord series jackets. Seems like a nice jacket from what I've tried on for the sub 500 pricepoint. Can't comment on their helmets or textiles though.
