I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING DOWN A NEW HARDWOOD FLOOR IT HASNT BEEN STAINED YET AND MY NIECE SPILLED BABY OIL ON IT ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO BRING IT OUT OR SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE IT LESS NOTICEABLE

are you staining it? It may cover it up. Or you can sand it out. Make her do it she did it... It will give your family memebers a lesson...

There are two ways of approaching this (and most other) projects: the right way and the easy way. The right way is to have the particle board underlayment removed, and a proper hardwood floor installed. Particleboard is an undesirable choice for a construction material. It does not hold a screw and is overly sensitive to water. The easy way is to put down an engineered floor, glued down, over the particle board. An engineered wood floor is not a solid wood board product, and is considered to be a less durable option than a real hardwood floor.

spill baby oil all over the whole floor so it matches

then do it again every year to maintain the finish

Try to use a brown paper bag & use a warm/hot iron on top - It should pull out the oil & make it stick to the brown paper bag!

I would try paint thinner first. that should thin the oil out enough that it is not noticable. once the thinner dries, you should be able to stain/finish the wood.
