like 'are you good looking?' i get a lot of thumbs down???
Are we all just expected to answer 'I could look better' or something like that?

It makes people think you are arrogant. It's actually not wrong to think you are beautiful. That means you have high self esteem which is great. But people often confuse having high self esteem with arrogance. That's probably why you get the thumbs down.
