Gay people did not choose to be looked down on by right-wing nut jobs and religious extremists, and gay people did not choose to be discriminated against.
Left handed people write with their left hand because that is what feels natural and right for them, and gay people are sexually attracted to the same sex because that is what feels natural and right for them.
Time and again scientific studies are showing that being gay is a biological difference.
People do not choose to be gay, it is just who they are.

The way gay people are ostracized just for being gay, I would say that they are born with it. The first time I was attracted to a female was when I was a young kid. I imagine it would be the same for gays, I mean why would someone "choose" to get treated bad by society and be denied rights. Dunno, I try to be nice to everyone.

I don't think you get to choose who you love.
Most people either like girls or like guys. Whether you are a guy or a girl or identify with something in between it shouldn't matter. You fall in love with a person, not a body.
I believe with a gay person liking the same gender and people telling them that is wrong, that would be like a straight person liking the opposite gender and other people telling the straight person "No, you HAVE to like someone of the same sex!!"

They chose to be what they want. No one knows what they want to be or who they want to be like when they are born. They get out into the world and see things, hear things, and experience things for there self's. That's just like if you was going to ask if people knew if they was going to be born white or not. They have no clue. No one knows what there future holds for them. They might have ideas of what they want to happen in there future. Or think they know what will happen. But no one really knows. That's the whole part of living life. Having your own road to follow. You have to live your life the way you want to. If you was going to die tomorrow would you feel that you lived your life to it's fullest. Or would there still be things that you wished you had still done or done differently? No one knows what's going to happen from one day to he next. So how could they know if they was going to be born gay or not. No one does.

My girlfriend is bisexual.she was molested by an adult man and his son who were considered friends of the family. Her age was 3yrs. and this abuse lasted until she was 11yrs.
Many years later she confided in her mother and father.
She was told by them that can't be true. Total denial.
After years of sex, drugs and rock n' roll, she is in therapy and doing very well. She is comfortable with herself and her bisexuality. Did this terrible experience cause her choice? I don't know. Maybe she was born that way.
Not a good answer,I know but it is food for thought.

I just woke up one day and a ray of sunshine shone to me through the glass window... It was so wonderful, it may me feel so... gay...
From that time one I decided, I'm gonna be gay for the rest of my life.
Great choice actually, I didn't regret one single day of it. ;)
You should try it. Coz it seems like you woke up at the wrong side of the bed this morning.

We're born gay. Get it into your thick, stupid heads!!!!
Did I choose to get turned on by other boys in speedos when I was 5 years old??? Yes, read my lips .......... FIVE YEARS OLD.
If that choice? Did I know that I wanted to be turned on by other boy's body's at 5?
Its so offensive to read the crap that straights come up with to justify their own bigotry - eg. the comment made by Summer Breeze. (You have no idea what you're talking about.)

I believe that 99% of the people that are gay are born that way. I admit that there are some that chose it but I truly believe you are born that way.

It's by choice. They were not born that way. Some say that they were born that way, which is just an excuse or 'reason' to make homosexuality 'acceptable' and to make it 'ok' so that it's not seen as 'sin'. They say 'born that way' to make it excuseable and more 'acceptable' in society. They don't want it to be morally wrong, so to make it 'right', they say "I was born that way - I can't help it" - that is a crock!! They make the choice to be homo by their own free will - not from some 'disease' or 'chemical imbalance' in the brain - that's garbage!
