Disagree. It depends on the situation of course. I was adopted as a child and my adoptive mother and father was and still is the best. I had a wonderful childhood. I met my biological mother when I was 21 and I learned that I had other brothers and sisters. After meeting my family I realized that my adoption had been a true blessing. I was the only one out of 6 that had been put up for adoption and no, I wasn't the oldest or the youngest. If I had a choice I would still choose my adoptive parents over my biological parents. Oh, and no I do not have any issues resulting from being adopted.

Its a proven fact that heredity plays a factor in a person's behavioral makeup. Most kids that are put up for adoption had irresponsible parents that made poor decisions, such as having children you cannot raise. Ever heard the term, "like father like son" ? Not every adopted kid will be rotten, but I know several that have come back to haunt the parents that adopted them. If you are going to adopt, the trend these days is to get the baby from another country.

I was adopted & I am well adjusted in my opinion...It does depend on the family they are placed with..I was very lucky to have the greatest parents in the world..I was first told when I was 7 yrs old and again when I was 12-13 so I'd better understand it all..To this day I have not sought my biological Mother out & no intention to,as my life has been good thanx to her...The only thing that has ever bothered me in some way is not knowing who I resemble in life..but to me thats not very important, but you know how it is when your a teenager, curiosity is strongest then...My folks & my other 4 siblings they adopted never made me feel adopted..It is great in my opinion, period.

Well definetly i do agree because an adopted child usually have some issues later in his life regarding his childhood ....which really is disturbing and painful for that child in particular.

It depends on the person and the parents. Of all the people I have known who were adopted, most have issues.

I have known 2 adopted people. one had problems with the law and stealing later on (she was abused in the orphanage though). the other one is fine but seem to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

It depends on the individual, my Niece and Nephew were adopted by my Sister and they seem fine, they are both successful and they are loving people, but then I know of others who have had alot of trouble in their lives because they never knew who their blood-parents were. They grew up thinking that nobody cared about them, it is such a shame.

I'm sure they feel abandoned and unloved by their biological parents, however, they can overcome this, especially if they were adopted and brought up by loving, decent people. And of course, some therapy to help them understand why there life turned out the way it did.

some do, and some dont,,,,,, if given a good home,,,, they will do better, just as non adopted children ,,,,,,,, if they have unresolved issues with their birth mother or father,,,, they will need to deal with that, just as non adopted children,,,,,, their questions will be more in the "why did you give me up" category,,, then in the "why did you do/not do this" area that non adoptees have

I was adopted & I don't have issues. I have an adopted stepdaughter & she has a good life. The only issues with her is she's spoiled.
