After you/someone else has designed all the pages for the site it all has to be "uploaded" to your space, basically your domain (eg. 1234.com) is your personal space so you upload all of your info, images to your personal space. Once uploaded this means when anyome goes to your 1234.com they will see everything you have uploaded. To upload stuff to your space you will either need to do this via ftp (file transfer protocol) or simply through software like Dreamweaver (which is quite easy to use by the way)

I would suggest contacting a web design company just for some advice, you can still do it yourself if you wish but they can point you in the right direction.

You could build your own as I am doing - it's actually VERY easy, when you've got a little help......

I am using a company called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!

I have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.

The cost is just $299 (£170) per year That includes all of the above plus domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don't worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that's all taken care of for you!

My site is only 9 months old. It is already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting up to 1000 hits a day! Plus it generates an income which not only covers the costs, but actually shows a healthy profit!

You can get more info from my information page at:

Please feel free to contact me through my site if you would like anymore info or advice.

Best wishes
