They're not! Some of the European women have large feet and are considerably taller than American women.
(Average height for American women is 5 ft 3.8 inches) and proper weight is between 120-160 lbs.

I'm not sure but I do have big feet, even for an American. I'm 5 ft 6in and wear a size 11!

Many women are forced (ie: chineese) to wear smaller shoes as a symbol of class and delicate ways--small and petite feet show discipline and culture. Some countries are under-developed and people have no choice (ie: India, Pakistan, etc.).

They aren't---we run all sizes here. I'm a US 4 1/2., the average size in Japan. I'm shorter than the average woman there at 4' 10". We have all sizes, and American isn't an ethnicity.

Some women in other countries have narrower feet than some though---Italian shoes don't fit me unless I get them in a 7!

And also, if the whole growth hormone in food thing was true, then why did I end up with GH deficiency? Answer me that?

American cattle are fed growth hormones, and it ends up in our beef and dairy products.
