I would have to say WW2. That is because of the fact that more deadly weapons were devepoped. Also, millions of people were killed! There were around 6 million jews that were killed. The atomic bomb was decvovered, the nuclear arms race began, the cold war began, and so much more.

The one in my head! AAAAHHH!
Seriously, the amount of pain is equal to the amount of stretching of thresholds.
Long hypothesis, but basically, the individual experiences a whole set of neurological and physiological changes with each trauma. The worst that's ever happened to that person is the greatest amount of pain that's ever shocked the system. It takes something worse to cause new trauma.
Same thing with societies.
If you've already been through hell and back, what's one more war?
It would take even further devastation to provoke a truly traumatic response.
So, it depends on the history of each participant, as to which war was worse for each particular society!

As you will notice you will get so many wars on here I am sure each one will be different. My uncle and father were in WW2 and say it was the worst my husbank was in Vietnam and that was the worst now I have 2 sons in Iraq and right now that is the worst. Every war is the worst if you are living it that is why it is called war hun. There is no good war ever but they are necessary in order to keep the evil from our doors.
