You need to let them dry out properly ,i mean bone dry,
the odour should disappear if it has a canvas lining inside the shoe ( on the upper)use some odour eaters you get that from the chemist or stores ,
next time try not to wet inside the shoe ,that is the reason of
odour ,and use odour eaters it's like a talc powder..

Baby powder can get the job done and using a wet wash cloth with a little fragrance, go over the shoes.

There are a lot of shoe sprays that should do the trick. You can try spraying the inside with lysol spray too and putting them outside to air out.

Fill them newspaper. It will absorb the smell.
