You may have damaged the nerve, you should get it looked at by your doctor;

My mother in law did that and smashed her thumb to pieces, she had 6 months off work and it was nasty.

I think it didn't hurt because you were in shock of what had happened. Your body is having time to process what has happened and the pain or numb feeling is now arising. If you're hand is painful or the numb feeling doesn't subside in a day i suggest going to the hospital just as a precaution to make sure you haven't done any damage.

You probably just sabatoged the nerve tissue a bit. Take some IB Proffen and ice it then heat it, keep it leveled with soft cusions. If anythings sticking out funny or the bone feels broken Email me and I can tell you exactly what to do.

You probably have nerve damage. A doctor can do a pins & needles test to find out.

You might want to have your doctor look at it, and maybe get an xray, in the event of a possible fracture.

you may have broken a bone or caused nerve damage.

If broken, you need help pronto. Otherwise, they will have to re-break in order to set it.

GOod luck!
