Nah boyoh. you fink the valleys can mix wiv Cockerney?
Not a prare isnit.
See?
It just doesn't make sense. As a Cockey myself (born at my grans house in Cheapside!) and someone who can put on accents fairly well, I really don't believe that the Welsh and Cockney accent would mix well.
If anything the lilt of the Valleys would not survive the 'gutter' London accent and by the time a Cockney noticed the Welsh showing, the Cockney would be gone.
Isnit!
Boyo!
So, me old mate. Would yew Ada and Eve it? Welsh talkers may be in Lundun Taan! But Cockerknees in the Vallees wiv awl the sheeps? Nah!

I was born in London but have lived elsewhere for the past 50 years and I'm afraid to say that when I hear Cockneys it does sometimes make me cringe. I have heard that there isn't a maternity hospital now, within the sound of Bow Bells ~ does this mean there won't be any cockneys left, unless they are born at home?
As for Welsh ~ there seem to be different direlects within the Welsh accent - are there any celebrities who speak with a cockney/Welsh accent?

After having grown up in the not so 'deep' south of the UK, I would have to say that the Cockney accent came of as sounding not so unlike those from Liverpool, Birmingham and other inner cities...perhaps a better way to put it would be to say lower class. The Welsh never really struck me in that way although it doesn't exactly roll of the tongue with ease. I couldn't imagine what it might sound like combined, god awful would be my first thought..but dead sexy? If you think that I would say that perhaps you need to lay off the heineken and cockles.

The Cockney accent sounds moronic to me. I don't notice the Welsh accent as I live in Wales.

Sexy? I think Cockney accents sound like someone speaking with a bunch of marbles in their mouth; now Welsh, much better, but I prefer Irish anyday!

I like the Cockney accent. Johnny Depp did it very well in From Hell. I've never heard a Welsh accent.

I think it fits in with Jason Statham's films, but I don't like it when loads of people on TV are pretending to have a cockney accent just to sound tough or something.
