It is a little overwhelming, to tell you the truth! So many emotions flooding you after your greatest challenge of physical strength! It is a moment that stays with you forever no matter how many children you have...you will experience it every time.
Oh my goodness! I'm crying right now! No words can accurately describe how good it feels...must be what heaven feels like all the time :)

It is the most overwhelming feeling you can ever have. Just trying to comprehend the fact that they were just inside you and then reliezing that this is the same little person thats been kicking you and you've tried to imagine what they look like yet you can never come close to how perfest and beautful they really are. It takes awhile to really understand that they are yours and that your a mother, but when it does happen it hits you like a ton of bricks. And its no different with the next baby. Its just as amazing every single time you do it. The best thing in the world hands down!!

I admit when i had my first born i was a little overwhelmed by becoming a mother and being responsible for another human life also, I was exhausted from the birth. I didn't want to hold him right off the bat. It wasn't until after i was in a new room and was finally alone that i finally started feeling human again. When they brought my baby to me, from the nursery, i laid him down next to me in the bed and looked at how perfect he was. That's when i bonded and feel completely in love with him! He's the love of my life and i seriously don't know what i would do without him!!

I didn't get to hold my son unitl he was 3 weeks old! I didn't even get to see him until he was 10 days old. He was born 2 months early and weighed 3 lbs he was not expected to make it! It was a very rough time. The first time I saw him I broke down and thought I was the worst person in the world because I was supposed to protect him and I thought i didnt. The first time I got to hold him was the best feeling ever. Even though it was just for about 5 minutes, I will never ever forget that!

Oh my god.....you cant describe it.... I had lost twins before the birth of our son Keegan so I had been waiting a long time to hold a baby and when I did it was amazing no words can describe it. I felt all these different emotions at once fear, enjoyment excitement!!!! And then I couldnt stop crying....this little thing looks up at you and holds your finger and right then and there you know thats the best thing you have achieved.

my son was born at 35 weeks so when i had he c-section i got to see him twice once when he was born and once the next night when i was being moved to another room. they took pictures of him for me. but they were horrible because he was black and blue on his feet and arms due to all the needles he had. but after 2 1/2 days i got to hold it was the best feeling in the world to look down and see my perfect little boy after months of him growing inside me . and to see the little guy who kept kicking me. he was perfect the most pretty baby i have ever seen well he was to me. i never new what mother thought was so great of holding their new baby but know i do. i knew my life was gonna change after that and even now after 11 months i still get the same feeling when i hold him . so yes it was the greatest moment in my life and i am sure he will bring me many more greatest moments

Absolutely! Seeing your child for the first time is the greatest thing in the world. There is NOTHING that can even come close to the feeling that you get when you get to hold that tiny little person that you created.

Actually the best feeling for me was while I was holding her, she looked me straight in the eye and let out a scream...That's how I knew by little "bundle of poop" was going to be just fine...(complicated birth)...then exhaustion set in....For 21 years.
