windows vista requires certain specs that need certain un-obtainable components for the average p4 pc.his is why the prices are crashing.do not buy a pc anytime soon

not really....vista is a ram hog but any core2 duo chip will run just fine, and the core-quadro is out now too


not to mention the fact that 90% of what people use their puter for can be done on a pentium 3 system.

my pc is almost 2 yrs old...it is a compaq 1720 nx
with 1 1/2 gb ram.. ati radeon xpress 200..amd sempron 3500+
i have been running vista for almost 4 months with no probs
the only problem i had was wireless connection and i figured that out in abouyt 10 minutes
windows xp will be good for a few more years...all the others will most likeley not be supported by microsoft though

That statement is true for every computer. Mine is over three years old so it is really obsolete.
