apply it to the cost of the War there so that we can lessen our expenses on it ourselves??????????

One basic reason is most of the oil is privately owned. Not Iraqi National property.
Would Exon agree to pay for rebuilding New Orleans if people in another Country thought it was a good idea???

Why don't we just take control of it and not give it to them? That's why we are over there anyway, for control of oil. So let's just take it from them. I'm not saying it's right, but we've done it before, we can do it again. The rest of the world thinks we are a bunch of idiots anyway.

I think that was the plan.
We have restored infrastructure here that Saddam let go to ruin for 10 years.
People here would be surprised to know, I'm sure, that WE didn't destroy a majority of the infrastructure in Iraq. Much of it has been in decay for years.
