According to Hindu mythology, the soul of that person reaches Yamaloka(Yama is the God of death) & pays his price (that is, gets a punishment for wicked deeds). After this the soul takes rebirth as an animal or bird or human depending on the previous births' good deeds. If a person has been very good in a birth then he attains salvation & the chain process of rebirth is broken.

Nothing, human life is meaningless. If the asteroid hadn't hit 65 million years ago we wouldn't even be here. Another may hit next year or 1,000 years from now and kill us all. The universe doesn't care.

Well, immedialy carbon emmissions will probably stop, as will urban development and deforestation. Forests and plants will retake the earth as will the animals.
