Hiking in the woods- stargazing- strolling through a museum- making some kind of craft or art together- folding laundry- seriously, if you're spending time together, just the two of you, really paying attention to each other, then it will be romantic. Visa and Mastercard not required. If she needs a big budget extravaganza to make her feel romantic, then her priorities may be skewed.

Go some where nontraditional! Try Indian or Moroccan where you sit on the floor. If it's not available in your area, you may want to do it yourself. I tried that with my wife. We sat down in the living room and had all of the entrees between us with no utensils! It was great! The conversation was deeper, the wine was sweeter, the after diner entertainment.....well that's not going to be posted. Sorry!

How about a picnic that you secretly prepared? Of course it has to be a favorite dish of hers. Why not compose a song for her, or maybe sing. Don't matter how good you are as it is the thought and love that will shine through.
Don't forget flowers, thats always a plus :)
Be yourself and just let go...

go to the local florist and ask for rose petals... when you get home draw a bath for two, complete with rose petals, bubbles and candles. Or sprinkle them all over the bed and light candles.
