That the President doesn't like Black People, all because Kanye West said so?

If I were a celebrity that opposed the President, and I told you that the world is really flat, and science can prove it, would you believe me?

First of all, Kanye West speaks for himself and NOT for all African-Americans. Despite popular opinion to the contrary, there IS divergence of thought in the African-American community. I personally find Mr. West generally uninformed and distasteful.

Having said that, I do not find Mr. Bush to have an attitude of acceptance toward African-Americans. However, it is not about who he is AGAINST, but rather who he is FOR. I believe this administration is here to ensure the best interests of the wealthy and corporations are served. It seems as though there is a tacit agreement that Mr. Bush will further the specific interests of these groups without regard to the actions' social, economic or political impact.

In other words, we are here to help the rich and to **** with everyone else. If you are "everyone else" you have already felt the brunt of this myopic way of thinking.

As much as I am against this administration's policies, we have to take the long view. Whenever an administration swings too far in a particular direction, the American people are smart enough to correct that swing by moving in the other direction. This administration has had two terms, and now I bet the people will seek moderation and someone who will look at the neglected needs of "everyone else." It's all a healthy part of the democratic (small d) process.

Don't forget to vote regardless of your political leanings!!

I a little offended by this question. Do you believe that a black person can not come to a conclusion about something unless someone on TV states it. Not all black people listen to rap stars or BET. There are some black people who look at the news, review the newspaper, and read political analysts opinions. President Bush has not been a supporter of the African American community and this started while he was Governor in Texas. His action during Hurricane Katrina did not help matters. If or if not he likes blacks has never been a question in my mind, however I do notice that most of his policy are not in support of middle or lower class. It is more for rich upper class. That is where I feel his favor lies.

His actions have displayed contempt for people of differing cultural identities.

Sometimes this works for the good sometimes the not so good.

I like the Condi Rice choice for Secretary of State. Bush took Clinton's idea on this. Madlin Albrecht was very successful as a Ambassador.

The Arab States do not respect women. For them to be forced to negotiate with a female US Secretary of State is a power play. And they hate it.

Go big Red Go

Who is Kanye West? It's not that the president doesn't like black people, it's just that his party doesn't have any use for them. Second question: Too hypothetical.

Ummm, yes I would. I mean c'mon, we live in a world of reality tv and watching dumb a s s slasher movies that keep getting made while at the same time dealing with a war that isnt worth anythin although its worth somethin because Bush has decided to put all of that money into it when he could've been rescuing all of the people hit by Katrina, who, might i say, were a great deal of black people....so in conclusion id say...yes, George Bush doesnt like black people :)

Of course not. Who would be stupid enough to believe that? I don't think Bush is a racist. Kanye West is just a celebrity.

Celebrities should not be allowed to voice their political opinions or personal agendas. You are a celebrity because people enjoy seeing you do whatever it is you do. We don't give a crap about your opinions. If I want to hear music, that is all I want. I don't want to hear them talk about what they think is wrong with the world. Just shut up and play your instrument or act.

Brown (ex-FEMA head) said today that the Katrina response was delayed in the White House for political reasons, namely to embarass the Democratic governor of Louisiana. That might not be hating black people, but it sure isn't giving two s**ts about the Katrina victims.

When people are on their roofs saying "help us" for days on end, something is seriously out of whack.

You're really good at setting up strawmen.

Maybe some day you'll figure out what Democrats are really about.

Good luck!
