I did a completed item search on ebay - it looks like it's pretty collectible - there seemed to be a range of prices depending on exactly what you had and what the condition was. Check it out.

Everything depends on condition, which version, and where you sell it. The following refers only to the 1984 series 1 (gray body).

Severely damaged midsections with no wings, accessories or even a canopy can sell for up to $10 for parts at a convention. Great condition loose figure missing only missiles and landing gear can be found under $25 on eBay. To get $40-$50 out of it would take a near perfect loose figure. In its original packaging, of course, it can almost be worth its weight in gold. Just unopened, it is often over $100. If it is Graded (Boy, I wish I'd thought of that scam) it can top $1000 !!

Check eBay (completed auctions) for one that matches the condition of yours, before trying to unload it, especially if you are worried about undervaluing it.

Good Luck!

Sadly I just checked on ebay and they have the 1984 Starscream for abou 23 bucks...Do you know how many vintage transformers I have at home!? That was my retirement! Thank God I still have the comics and commemorative plates to fall back on. I think the Dolphin plate will really be worth something someday. Fingers crossed.

Put it on ebay. Put a low price on it, and then reserved price. If you don't get bids to equal your reserve, you don't have to sell it. It is hard to tell what something is worth without seeing it.
