In a book by Ann Rinaldi, young Sarah Revere, the daughter of the great patriot and silversmith Paul Revere, asks, "What matters? The truth? Or what people think of you?"

"What is the truth?"

The truth is, you know the truth about yourself. What other people think of you really doesn't matter. If they are out to spread lies about you, prove them wrong by your actions, because "actions [really do!] speak louder than words." Sometimes the things people say could be true. So what? No need to be ashamed of who you are; God made you that way and you have a purpose that only can fulfill because of YOUR personality. It's your personality and only you know the complex workings of your own head. So if you're worried about what other people think, buck up! Ignore them and be yourself. Then everyone will see what liars they are.

It actually depends on WHO says. If its ur well-wisher then u can trust those words & take the comment or compliment seriously. U cant neglect these well-wishers as they say for ur betterment. If it is not genuine one, u neednt bother as sometimes they say bad about u just to pull u down & make the confidence levels drop. But in general u neednt worry much. Just a lil consideration must be given as we r living in a society & co-existence is wat we do.

Well, I guess sometimes it could be true, but if it's not so what. Who really cares what people say anyway.

the image and persona you give off to others is as much part of you, as the image and persona you have of yourself. whether either is "true" or not, depends on your own level of honesty and integrity.
