The truth won't really ever come out because the Senior law figure(I forgotten his title at the moment) is appointed by Government. So he won't authorise a prosecution of one of his mates especially when the result of the Police enquiry will never be made known to the public so it can be kept under wraps.
The recent arrest of one of Tony advisers has upset them though hasn't it as they're are several ministers criticising the Police. Obviously it's getting a bit close to home and they're a bit worried. How can they criticise when they don't know what evidence the Police may or may not have?
It is the duty of the Police to investigate these allegations to the best of their ability and that is that.

One thing you can be sure of, the Police do NOT like to be given the run-around by anyone ... so some-one will have to take a fall.

Should be interesting watching how Tony 'Smiley' Blair gets out of this one.
