I want to increase my range by at least a half an octave higher. Anybody got anything?

First of all, this is going to take a great deal of discipline and time. So don't expect instant results. The short answer is that you have to really strengthen your chest voice and your "head" voice (so many people use different terms to describe this, so I'll define this as a light, high register without any chest voice). The other ingredient is to work on blending the two together. Some general steps:

1. Start with gentle scales to warm up entire voice overall.
2. Begin to do exercises with unmixed head voice or chest voice. Start with your weaker so you have time to work it without getting too tired.
3. After giving yourself a good workout as low and high as you can, work with mixing. Two good exercises for this starting on a particular note softly, making a smooth crescendo to as loud as comfortably possible, and then a smooth decrescendo back to soft. Smooth is the key; it strengthens your muscles and their smooth function back and forth. The second exercise is reverse of this, starting loudly and going softly. Smooth is the key.
4. Work up and down the register, including the highs and lows. The strengthening should allow you to stretch your range past its current limits. How much depends on your physiology and your dedication.
5. Remember, smooth means control. If you get far enough in practice where you can't be smooth, you are no longer working from strength. Stop and work another time.

vocalization helps a lot...

like la la la la la la la.. with all the rising and lowering of the pitch.. ask a voice teacher about vocalizing.. it may sound funny but it sure helps a lot..

practice some high pitched songs too..

and i dont know if this would work, but singing high pitched songs in a tub filled with water up to your neck would help.. just try it.. it might work...

but it takes time... what songs do you want to sing anyway?
