Those in the Republican party are so happy Republicans are in power that they are not looking at what their party is doing now.(there was both a Republican administration and Republican majority congress for many years now-until the new Congress) Republican keep lowering their standards-they're happy taxes were lowered but that's all they can look to as accompishments. The taxes are higher in other areas-state taxes, fees, as well as the new tax on employer paid insurance he proposes. He's created huge government and huge government spending which is completely against conservative policy-yet Republicans blindly follow because they have been convinced "liberals" are evil! Many moderate Republicans are upset-Chuck Hagel, George Will, Pat Robertson, John Dean...not to mention all those within the administration who speak out and are forced to resign.
Also. GW Bush as president has taken more advantage of being a "War president" than anyone in history, and it's doubtful that the new Congress can controll him either.

It was definitely Republicans' faults that the war started, because they controlled most of the government at the time.
However, now that Democrats control the House and the Senate, it is much more up to them.
Bush has a lot of power, so it is mainly his fault. It was his decision to attack Iraq.
About the surge:
The Democrats want to stop it, but they may not be able to. Bush makes many of the military decisions simply because Republican members of the House and Senate back him up.

If Bush wants to be the Leader, he needs to wear the Big Boy Pants, which means being RESPONSIBLE for everything under the Executive Branch of the Federal Government.

I'm struggling with finding the question mark at the end of the sentence.
So pointing and blaming is human nature. We will always say the president is not doing a good enough job, because we have freedom of speech.

Yes people seem to forget that the senators and congressmen control what happens more so than the president, the president does not have total and complete control or it would be a dictatorship...

A lot of people blame the President because it's the chic thing to do.
They forget things like the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana not doing much after Hurricane Katrina because they are Democrats, which oppose the President on EVERYTHING!

Bush appointed or supported most of the administration that surrounds him. He is the figurehead of that administration, as president. So the blame is his.

Bush has control over the war, which is going good, unlike the liberal media reports, and what bills he signs. Abortion, high taxes, and high crime because of illegals you can thank the Democrats for. And gas is cheaper because Bush signed a bill so the US can drill for more oil, so we don't overpay to Saudi Arabia, and save $$ on shipping.

After 6 years of a constant barrage of propaganda attacks from the Democrats and their surrogates, the media.... it really isn't surprising that those who only have one source of information would think that way.
