In government, the majority should always be respected. If people oppose the idea, they can express their opinions, but should support the majority's decision for the sake of unity.
If the majority's decision is wrong, that will become apparent later, but the important thing is to maintain unity.

No not necessarily. But it does make sense to do things that will benefit the majority of the people involved in the particular matters - the majority of the time.
Take Hitler for example - the Majority of Germans favored Hitler but many of them were against him. -
If the minority would have had their way - Hitler would have never risen to power sufficiently to institute WWII.

HellNo! At the time of the revolutionary war only about 1/3rd of the people favored going to war, 1/3rd were against it & 1/3rd weren't interested & we know how things turned out & we ended up with the greatest & most prosperous nation in the history of mankind. It seems to me that about 1/2 of this nation's voters are not too bright - after all, Slick Willie got re-elected!!!!!!!

No. Hence the protections of the Constitution for the minority so the majority does not go overboard in drowning the country in legislation.

Sometimes the majority is nothing more than all the fools being lined up on one side.
Actually its a frightfully common occurrence.
