I am Black, so I know exactly what you mean. In short, we are globally hated. So it doesn't come as a surprise when we are unnecessarily stopped by the cops for no just reason. Just in St. Louis where I live, a 14-year-old Black child named Jeremy Robinson was shot 6 times by a cop! 6 TIMES! I don't know who this kid is, but he was only 3 years younger than I. I am trying to keep his name out there if you don't mind me telling you. Please read about it at the st. Louis American newspaper's website, it has very excellent information on it. The case was overshadowed when they discovered Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby. Nobody cared for poor Jeremy. I say the luckiest you can get if you are stopped by a racist cop is to not die, because many HAVE died and it wasn't right. Racism blinds people because hatred consumes their bodies. Therefore, they become hatred and do evil actions, be it little or major. I hope this helps you.

Now be really, really honest here. How many times have you been stopped and it turned out that there WAS a legitimate reason?

Yes, yes, I know all of the standard answers - "They commit the most crime" or "racial profiling" etc etc etc ad nauseum. However, have you ever considered the concept of "probable cause?"

I live in Las Vegas, and the cops are just playing the odds. Sometimes they win (they're right) and sometimes they lose (they were wrong.) Statistically, the higher crime areas are in minority neighborhoods against the very minorities that live there, too.

It's called racial profiling. Why what's your problem with it?! Didn't you know that all black people (particularly black men) are all pimps or drugdealers or unexplicably violent and gang minded or a millionaire athlete/star out of control? Don't you own a T.V. or read the newspaper? Everyday and every minute that is all that is said about them - so it must be true. Besides, what are you complaining about. Everywhere I go I'm "illegal" or a "terrorist." Thank God, the cops are onto me too.

They DON'T get stopped anymore than anyone else does. That's unless they are in a predominately black neighborhood. Then I'd have to say they get stopped as they broke the law and since they broke the law and got caught they get stopped.

that's funny cuz i haven't seen anything like that my whole life, if someone is getting stopped its for a reason, its not racist or stereotypes its cuz they really did do something, besides cops don't wanna waste there time with pointless thing like that, why bring up such things? i have never seen this and i doubt i ever will, trying to tell you this as nice as possible, but thats just a silly question, sorry!

The same reason white people get stopped for no reason!

Becuase they are the race least likely to carry up-to-date insurance which generates ticket revenue and also gives the officer an oppurtunity to survey the scene for any other possible violations or crimes.
I don't know why this is the trend with coverage but Asians are the most consistantly insured.

Because so many black people get stopped FOR reason. Speak to them about it - not the cops.

people of all races get stopped for no reason. I do know that the "new black panther" party is nothing more than a terrorist group.
