The bottom line is that any corporation will manage to pass it on down to the consumer as a regulatory fee or some other junk fee. A tax on corporations is just passed onto everyone. Democrats need to be smart in the way they pass tax laws, not just the same ole thing regurgitated over and over.

Great point Dizz, maybe a consumption tax would be much better.

Alot of folks are still missing the point. Any time you tax a corporation, they are going to keep their profit margins no matter what. Taxing a corporation will raise the prices of consumer goods. So are you still in favor of taxing corporations still?

The alternative is to find other sources of revenue such as a tax on individuals, user fees, etc. Would you rather have the choice of how to spend your money while corporations get taxed or let the corporations get by with minimal taxes and have no choice?

You are absolutely right it will increase cost but they just don't get that. I would also like to see CEO, and upper management trickle that money back down into the company and employees instead of million dollar bonuses too. Tax should be low, and the government needs to shrink, they should be responsible for security, transportation, Treasury, and the basic Constitution.
They should set up a secured endowment for education, and tighten up on foreign aide & get rid of that dame debt

It's unfair that working class people pay most of the taxes, THAT IS NOT TRUE THE TOP 10% PAY MOST TAXES.

Oh, and Democrats don't cut taxes, I never seen that in the history of politices

The corporations have the money, and most of what the government does is to benefit the corporations, so why shouldn't they pay? It's unfair that working class people pay most of the taxes, even though most of the national income is in the hands of the rich!

yes, in order to keep the obscene profits they will raise the prices of things to consumers, you may end up paying a couple pennies more for this and that. But, the goverment will have the several billion or whatever extra dollars to waste on pork projects to get themselves reelected, and maybe the democrats will cut some of the taxes from the workers themselves.

You are right and people just don't understand that corps. DO NOT pay taxes, they just pass it on to you and me. I don't care how much you tax a corp., their profit margin will still be the same. You just pay more more the services.

The real problem is corporate welfare.
I do not think corporate welfare is a good thing. It needs to be stopped!

Corporations enjoy some of the same rights and privileges individuals do, so why shouldn't they bear some of the cost of the government from whence they get their benefits? They are just as liable and taxable as anyone, and hell, they've got money to spare.
