Well it looks like it won't be too hard to choose the best answer, as poor Arnold only has 2 friends online today. And one is me.

Yes, I do... and here is my reason why... Nobody can choose to be born in a certain place, only our parents can determine this... We as individuals should be able to determine our own course in life and as individuals, be able to accept the responsibilities and enjoy the privileges so afforded with our choices. Why be allowed to become a citizen of the United States and have the responsibilities of a US citizen, but not the privileges associated with this great honor. After a period of time has passed, and the person has paid taxes and shown allegiance to this country, why not allow them to have the same privileges as one born here ??? What is the difference if your parents simply gave birth to you here, versus abroad ??? Aren't we all from various ancestry and nationalities... but in truth we all still bleed red ! As a naturalized citizen with sworn allegiance to this country, you should also be allowed everything a person born here has ! But all this said, I would not want Maria as a Vice President !

I would support ammeding the constitution but not just so Arnold could run. If we as a nation are prepared to vote for women and blacks (which would never have happened if the founding fathers had anything to say about it) then it shouldn't be a problem to vote for someone who was born in another country then became a US citizen.

It's not that Arnold doesn't have any "friends" here; I think he's done a fantastic job as Governor of California, but I don't think the Constitution should be changed to allow a non-native American to serve as President.
That would be kind of like you moving to England and then running for prime minister, or annoucing that you wanted to be king.
Just won't work.
As for who will get "best answer," are you really looking for a best answer or just someone who will agree with you?

I don't see why they shouldn't......look at how everything else is amended by laws and such....seems like most from CA sure like what he is doing there....and I feel he has proved he is for the USA.....plus I would think him being from overseas he would have a good foreign policy unless he has become so Americanized by now....I would vote for him.....he has more sense right now than couple others that are rampant on here am reading about tonight

yes, the constitution was not written in stone, they made provisions for amendments, at the time they wrote it they were fighting with the rest of the free world and blacks didnt count as human. there have been many changes made in it to reflect the present moment, and since he and many other immigrants are probably better qualified than many native born american citizens, why not. This rule is almost as silly as letting or forcing kids aged 18-20 to go to iraq and fight for a country where they come back to and get arrested for having a beer.

No, it' shouldn't be changed. This is primarily to prevent a conflict of interest in terms of someones allegiance to another nation. It would also allow the governor of Michigan to run as well. And no I wouldn't vote for him.

Yes, or maybe if you are or were Governor then that should make you eligible to run for President. He is a real American to me and I know that he loves America. I just might vote for him.

No. The reason is because having a foreign born person as our president, he would have his home countries best interests in hand, not the country he runs.

Amending the US Constitution is a big deal. I wouldn't want it changed JUST to let Arnold run.
