If u could have a choice to go through a major medical operation and it would either kill u then or make u live longer than an yone ever has would u go through with it? consider this in ur answer though, If u lived longer then all ur familly members would die while u were still alive (exept for like ur great great grand children) would the risk be worth it? isn't it a lose-lose situation??

Wut I'm trying to say here is would u 1 take the risk of dying to live longer, and 2, even if u take the risk, isn't it a lose-lose situation? If u die from it, well that obviously bad but if u live longer then wouldn't it be equally sad to have to go through all the deaths of your loved ones???

I'd do it. But I'm 55 years old, and don't fear death, and want long life with good health. I'm assuming your hypothetical situation includes good health.
Super long life in constant pain would be a serious bummer.

If I had fufilled everything I could in life I might concider it. That way I can be alive in the future to represent how things were and carry on the legacy of those who have passed away in hopes of doing something meaningful to make the world better for future generations, even if that just means being the bearer of the history of my time.

Well its human nature to want to live longer. I guess that is why we have so much medical stuff and people trying to find way s to prolong life. Yes, it would be hard to outlive all the family and then e with younger family members but heck if you were ok in mind still i guess it would be fine its the spice of life.

It depends...living longer doesn't necessarily mean that you have any quality of life. The op could make you live longer, but that could mean living longer in a coma.

I would not go through with it. For example, patient undergo chemo when they have cancer. This is meant to prolong their lives but the patients wind up suffering through the whole process. It is better to be happy for as long as you can than to live and suffer

I would not have the operation. Simple. Unless it is for an existing, life threatening problem, I won't have it done. You owe it to your family to think of them as well as of yourself and I would not be willing to take that chance.

i believe we live in different forms, ways,,, worlds,, also in reincarnation,,,,, so no i wouldnt have an operation just to remain in this world longer,,,,,, and also, though i wouldnt do it,,, the concept that you might die (as in leaving this life),,,,,,, that to me is a frivolous chance to take,,,,,, if you want to risk dying, find something more meaningfull
