Shoot 'ja Dave. We are all kinds of fun chere'. Come on down to New Awlin's and let's have a drink, eat some crawfish, and pass a good time. We are gettin back on our feet and the night life is still something to see. So come on down south and have a good time with us on the bayou!!!

I was born in New Orleans Dave and lived there on and of for several years before settling in MS for good. You won't recognize a "Coon-***" (slang for Cajun) just by looking but if you hear someone talking like that you found yourself one. Buy him a drink and a plate of mudbugs and you will have a friend for life!!!

Gee, I don't know. They look like everyone else so I don't think you could recognize them by just looking. "Cajun" people I think migrated from France. Many live in Louisiana. And the accent is unique. Not completely french sounding, it's a mix of French and something else. But to make sure, if you meet someone you think
is Cajun, just ask!

Don't avoid.....Cajuns are great people. Buy him a drink and when he thanks you......listen to that voice. You'll then know if he's true Cajun or not.
