3sinx does not equal sin3x

the deriv of sin3x is (cos3x)*3, not 3*sin3x

No, you should try an example x=3Odeg sin x= 1/2 so 3sinx =3/2
3x=90deg so sin3 x=1

Using the chain rule sin u witith u=3x (sin u)´= cos u * u´ =
3*cos 3x.

and
cos3x= 4(cos x)^3- 3cos x
