*giggles* My x button doesn't work on my playstation hand controller and I can't see anything wrong with it. In fact, I can't use any of the buttons right now. ALL of the cable is fine, the ps2 is fine. Sometimes the buttons work fine? Anyway the only thing weird is it is really hot here in the room......

Did somone ever pulg it in Upside down? That will kil the controler.
Unplug and blow into it and the PS2 then retry.

you may have to take your controller apart and get the dust out and your buttons maybe getting sticky
