ok so I am only 19 weeks pregnant but im starting to prepare the nursery and trying to think of a name for our son. I like alot of things but my husband is very picky and we just cant seem to agree on anything. We have a daughter named Gabrielle May and she has a sister named Carmen Jade. We like unique names. What do you think is the best way for us to decide, since we cant agree? And what might you suggest for a name? Our last name is Woods.

My last name is woods and I'm 38 weeks pregnant we had 3 names for a boy which we wont be using seems as three 4d scans confirmed our baby was a girl. Hope these are some help!

This probably will sound weird, but I recommend reading the book "Freakonomics," by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner. Don't let the title scare you, it's a fun and easy read.
It has a section in it about names - not so much "this name is good, this name is bad," but more in line with categories of names that tend to have children who do well in school, pursue continued education and have career success.

i LOVE your daughters names. i think they were a great match. to decide on a name for you son i think you guys should take into consideration the names on Y!A and write down the names you like and try to decide as a family.say them out loud a couple of times. my suggestions will be:

My husband & I were the same way, it took a while, but when you find just the right one, you'll both agree. :) We named our son Corban Jack, Corban means one devoted God and Jack is strong. I really like the name Layton for a boy too. Congratulations!!

I found this site to be helpful because you can look up names by culture if you like certain culture names, also it shows the meaning, nicknames, and different spellings. i usually look up this names when looking for character names for dungeons and dragons. some names i find are beautiful.
