Surely there must be some business out there which requires less than 50K start up, and earns at $1,500 a month. After all thats not a high paying job. Anyone know actual results who are kind enough to reveal to a middle age couple willing to work and invest just for a job type income?

A friend of mine's mother makes $500,000 on ebay selling open box (refurbished) electronics. I'm not sure of the start up costs on that.

I'd read up on franchise options and talk to people who've done that.

Freelance writing, editing scientific articles, creating software could work, but that depends on your interests and skills.

Become a career counselor. Then you just need a certificate and a place to practice. It should be common sense. People just look for some sensible ideas and a motivator to help them find another job.

I would not recommend investing more than $500 in any home based business.... however, I would also not recommend wasting a bunch of time signing on with anyone who wants to throw a link at you here in this forum. If they are throwing more than one link, then RUN real fast.

Most people don't make decent money doing surveys and if you have to sign on with more than one program to earn $1500 a month, then you are extending your efforts too far.

There are many, good, reputible companies out there that offer good comp plans, it is just a matter of getting educated. Type these words into your search engine.... Internet Due Dilligence.
Read the free, generic report. It will help you sort out the good, bad and ugly.

Making $1500 your first month may not be relalistic, but making more than that per month over time is. I spend a great deal of free time helping people get started in whatever they want to do, pointing them to good free, generic training and mentoring sites. I figure if I can save just one person the frustration I faced when gettting started, then life is good.

You both would be great at this and you won't have to invest nearly that much and you could definately make more than that. See my profile since yahoo doesn't like for us to relay links. Good Luck!
