No, Snape killed him. JK Rowling was rather clear that he is dead, period. But, his memory lives on. As Harry would say, "He [Dumbledore] will only be gone from the school when none are loyal to him."

Dumbledore is dead. Rowling has confirmed this herself. However, I think with Dumbledore's death, so ends all hope for Harry. He'll kill Voldomort, but he will be killed while doing so.

AT the end of the 6 book, he gets killed by Professer Snape. But, then again, I heard the author brings him back in book 7.

i think he is somewhat "alive" thru Fawkes, the phoenix, and like an anti-Horcrux type spell for "good" wizards. also, he did mention as long as there are loyal people at hogwarts, he will never really be gone. there's gotta be something that binds him to that
