Depends on what you are using the computer for. If you are using for everyday task. Email, photos, surfing in general they it should be very pleasing speed for you. I would get @ least a 512mb ram or 1gb of ram. It should be fine..Thanks

Celeron D microprocessor is good, but last years model. It is still being used. The latest now is the Celeron M microprocessor. Six months from now, ANOTHER microprocessor will come out to replace the Celeron M.

Now every year, there are microprocessors being built faster and cheaper. Both chips are still being used. When a new chip comes out it is expensive, until mass production and popularity make it cheaper. Both are good and just depends on what you can afford.
