I meant to say why do some gay men prefer feminine men.

I'm only asking why some gay people are attractted to people who look and act like people of the opposite sex. I am not gay so I do not understand this. I would asume that gays would want to be with someone exibiting traits of the same gender.

because, it's simply. I love my butch partner becasue she was raised FEMALE, so knows what I need, want and am going through, on the other hand, her mind is so completely male, that she's often clueless about me as a woman!
It's very hard to describe. It is a personal thing. There really isn't a "preferance" indicating it's a choice, but rather who one is attracted to......
I have seen questions like this alot and for every "femme guy" and every "femme gurl (that likes butch womyn), the you get a DIFFERENT answer!

Everyone has their own preferences in who they would like to date.
Some guys love dating tomboys, ect. Is this contradicting to the norm or are they just in love?
'Is' there a norm?
If there is, what is it?
