Mass hypnosis, no, but certainly mass indoctrination. One of the most important functions of education in a modern society is the inculcation of commonly held societal beliefs. The very construction of an agreed-upon cirriculum is a social policy decision.

Interesting question. I think in many ways it could be considered such. We no longer teach children to think; we teach them to memorize. Teachers are not allowed to venture outside the state's guidelines for study material or questions. It appears that the more the government tries to assist all to obtain an equal education, the more we produce a generation without the capabilities to think outside the box or to explore concepts. People grow up with more knowledge but not necessarily more wisdom. I don't think the idea of inputting the exact same data into every brain is going to provide what is needed for the coming times. Whether there is a form of ongoing hypnosis or whether students and teachers alike are being sublimated, it appears some radical changes will be needed before long.

Hi, Congratulations on being an mindful, worrying and involved step-guardian. It feels like you've gotten a 'well' dating along with your "daughter". Since her enjoy together with her bio-mom used to be so provoking to her (& you, too) ~ here is my first-class - handy proposal: RESEARCH!!! The web or the library is the simplest option to dispel this uneducated fake notion. There's extra to hypnosis than the theatrical pleasing type. If the tape you've gotten is a generalized one so that you can give up "whatever" ~ then there could be no motive why she could not no less than pay attention to it. It must end up to her that there are not any hidden or mystery messages that could be regarded "witchcraft". Whether or no longer a tape will do the identical as an specific hypnotherapy consultation I am no longer satisfied or definite, however it is without doubt valued at giving it a check out. You don't have anything to lose and a optimistic outcome to attain = no smoking. ***Anxiety at thirteen is NOT well!!! It feels like she's had it for awhile now. I'd recommend that you simply talk over with your husband the desire for intervention now even as she remains to be rather younger. Counseling would be a large support on this drawback. An independent however supportive third individual would provide "every body" perception and help. *Don't wait to handle this considering it could possibly most effective worsen with out healing. It can broaden into different behaviors that may/would be much more harmful than cheek chewing. *Also, there may be the probability that the 'matters' making your thirteen yr historical nervous can and can have an impact on the opposite 2 kids ~ if it hasn't already. You are an overly mature and supportive "step" Mom to be involved on her behalf. I inspire you to retain to be a optimistic have an impact on in those kid's lives. I wish that your husband will probably be a perfectly supportive guardian through paying attention to you and searching for help so we can be profitable in your whole loved ones. Wishing you and your loved ones so much well being and happiness now and at some point.

Nope - tho it can contain elements of it. Education is the imparting of information. Hypnosis, and I assume you mean the implanting of suggestions while under that state, is a form of behavior or attitude control. They are two distinct things. However, Education can be expected to affect your behavior or attitudes, if you react normally to learning certain things.

In some ways it is (I assume you're talking about formal education) because the educational systems of the world have their own rules and regulations, they ban things, they discourage things...there are so many things that can be learned about life and what it's really all about outside of a formal education; that is why there are still people today who take their kids out of schools and teach them about life through other means. It's also a big reason why more and more people send their kids to private schools or take them out altogether and home-school them. Personally I've learned a whole lot more outside of the classroom that has been useful to me than what I've learned inside the classroom.

ALL hypnosis is SELF hypnosis. So, whatever you put into it, you get out of it.
