My pet hates are:

people who write 'dis', 'dat', 'eva' and all of that rubbish instead of 'this', 'that', and 'ever', even though they are just ONE LETTER SHORTER than the proper word.

People that refrigerate things like bread and chocolate: It makes food dry and tasteless!

People that fill the kettle to the top when making a single cup of tea... What a waste of electricity!

I think these things ruin our language, food, and environment, so I think these pet hates are justified. What pet hates do you have, and are they justified?

Do you do any of the things that I find so irritating?

I hate people picking their noses when driving - Men & Women, for some unknown reason they think nobody else can see them!

I'm in total agreement, I hate text talk, it takes twice as long to read and often is such a short message the sender could have written the full word!
Spitting, blocking the pavement by standing in a large group so people can't pass easily, waste of any kind, if you don't need it don't take it, snobbery....we are all born equal and should be treated as such, never mind what accent we speak with, or what we wear.
I could go on, but those sort of people irritate me too!!

My biggest pet hate is people who eat / chew really loudly. It is SOOOOOOOO annoying and seriously drives me up the wall. And yes, I think this is justified - it's just not a nice thing to listen to, and shows a lack of manners.

All the things you said and, leaving lights, tv's, computers ON when leaving the house for hours, litter (oooo BIG one!), not putting things BACK where they belong, smaking their lips when they eat, talking LOUDLY on cells in public (especially restaurants)...oh, the list is endless!!

*People who overtake me on the motorway and then pull in again about 3ft in front of me! It means I am suddenly driving far too close to the car in front.
*People who sit with their car engines on and, on winter nights, when I'm waiting for my son's school bus, people who keep their headlights on. (I wait in a car park and always have a car with headlights on directly in front of me!)
*Older drivers who indicate as if they're going to pull over and stop, do pull over but continue to drive slowly along.
*Commercial breaks.
*Pro hunting people who say townies 'don't understand the countryside' (I'm a country lass by the way)
*Hunt followers who drive on the wrong side of the road whilst peering over hedges (very dangerous)
*People that still drive round with a red nose stuck to their cars.
*Hazel Blears (chitter-chattering chip monk - makes me think we should get women out of politics!).
