How long has BBC Radio Five Live been broadcasting for?

Radio 5 began broadcasting on the 23rd November 1978.
New Radio 5 live began on the 28th March 1994.

bbc radio are coming up to their 100th year i think 5 live is about 10 years

it used to be radio 2 but when that switched over to fm the mw went on to be 5live i think its been about 8-9 years now

I think it is a recent phenomenon, but BCC has been broadcasting over 100 years.
