Do you have another bluetooth device in the same room or in direct link, if not then the laptop will not find another bluetooth device. Bluetooth is like IR only works close and in a line....Bluetooth will not connect to wireless they are totally different...Thanks

the laptop must be integrated with another device. each device has a specific code to input and a time constraint. you must input the correct code into the laptop with the div ice close (in the case of a phone it has it's own code also). if it does not recognize the device then they are not compatible or a malfunction. best advice-call the mfg of the device and ask how to connect with ????? laptop. they should be able to walk you through the process. the mfg of the laptop is a distant second for information.

first make sure your bluetooth is enabled on your laptop.
then you need to make your bluetooth device 'visible'. look in the instruction manual for your device.
