Why do some people still say they put toast in the toaster?

You put bread in the toaster, not toast........unless I am missing out on something.

Same reason people say "hot water heater". If it's hot water it doesn't need to be heated.

Maybe they put toast in the toaster because it wasn't toasty enough the first time?
