more secure, improved look, and tabs up at the top.
I don't have it cause im too lazy to get it, but It is always better to upgrade when a newer version is released

I have IE7 installed on my computer and have not had any problems with the new version.
I think that other people here are very slow to change, and yes it is worth having and much better the IE6.
my version of IE7 came as part of Microsoft updates since IE6 was removed completely from my computer when I had to perform a partial recovery on my hard drive and since there was no IE6 the download of IE7 was a complete install rather then a upgrade from IE6 to IE7. by doing this there have been no problems with the message that other people get with smartbridge alert,
I for one am very pleased with the new version so go ahead and install IE7 for it is more secure then IE6 as it checks websites out for phishing before the website loads so you are safe from these sort of nasty people.
and the size of the download is dispite what has been said here is only 3.99 mb and not 50 mb I should know for I have checked the size in the add/remove programs folder.

I have a a desk top and a laptop. Both are a bit older than a year old, both have XP Professional. Explorer 7 works fine on them. But some people older systems using XP have reported problems with the new version. If you would like to try a browser with very similar features as Explorer 7 Try Firefox.

Most people like 6 better - but I downloaded 7 on my 3 computers because 'that's the direction we're going in'. IE 7 has got a few features, also it is 'tabbed' for different sites you like - so it loads your sites when you click on E.
You can turn off tabbing and disable the 7 functions. What the problem is - is that 6 uses the keyboard shortcuts better. I think there are some glitches in 7 but I'm sure they're working on it and there will be updates to 7.

I like it and have had no trouble with it - maybe thats why I like it. The tabbed browsing, where you can open more than one website at once - sort of like worksheets in an Excel workbook - is brilliant.
Just make sure you get a "vanilla" version from Microsoft, not a "customised" version from Yahoo! - I suspect that the latter may be the cause of some of the horror stories you will hear about it here.

a) stay with IE6
b) move to IE7
c) try Firefox
I suggest option C - tests have shown that Firefox is better at everything IE7 claims to do.
Tabbed browsing, built in search bar, phishing warnings, safety, speed.
And Firefox is a fraction of the size - 5 MB compared to 50 or so... (IE's download size depends on your computer, strangely enough)
Oh, and Firefox has a cool logo, can be removed and installed again if needed, everything about Firefox can be legally tweaked / tinkered with. There are also thousands of people willing to help you with Firefox.
So... my vote is cast strongly in Firefox's direction.

It is very good despite reports from people who have had problems. I have it and have had no problems at all. As long as you follow the download and install to the letter it should be ok. If you do have problems, it will more than likely be a computer problem, rather than IE7. If it does not work properly then simply uninstall from Control Panel and your computer will revert to IE6.

Well, the new IE7 includes new features.
Including:
Tabs to open many web pages on the same browser (Windows)
Less buttons that make the broser look like a mess.
Instant search engines on the browser.
I would strongly recommend you upgrade.

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.
