we were made to eat meat.. we did not "GET" the idea from anywhere.. its in our blood. we are omnivores .. meaning we eat both meat and plants.

Its part of the food chain.. Its not wrong.. its the way its suppose to be.. that is why our teeth ..are the way they are

Are you special? Because if you aren't, you need to go back to 5th grade, but the way it sounds, you are in 5th grade, you're just failing social studies. Listen up:back then, you had to kill to survive. No one is going to just eat roasted veggies when there is a nice, large buffalo herd right next to your longhouse. Also, it's human instict. Human's HAVE to eat meat, so American's didn't "copy" the Natives. I also have the feeling you are a filthy hypocrite, because unless you are vegan, you eat eggs, which are technically meat. Another thing is that animals aren't people! Sorry to break it to you little one, but they just aren't. I mean, they have feelings just like we do, but their thought processes are just not as advanced as ours are. So they don't have civilizations, table manners, and such. Besides, does a leopard think twice about killing a human and dragging it up a tree to eat it (or maybe thats a cheetah/jaguar?). So we can be fully justified in eating meat. Umm, also this isn't even a question; it's just you being a stupid hypocrite and making a fool out of yourself by pretending you know more than you actually do. Read up on your history hun! And stop failing the Native American unit in Social Studies!

I believe you need to re-adjust your educational choices little one! Native Americans did not 'Come' to America, they are 'NATIVE TO AMERICA'! That means they have always been here! Now, that isn't to say they starting eating meat before others arrived just to freak out the veggie people! lol It pretty much was "You eat it or die!" Now, that isn't to say, again, that in this day and age there are not other choices but I could never give up meat! I have had cancer and before being diagnosed I was a Vegetarian. Now, something in my brain clicks, and if I don't get my meat for the day I am a bit like a wild dog! I love a nice big slab of beef or a couple of pieces of chicken, daily, and if I don't get it my children and grand-children know to steer clear of me! I have attempted other forms of proteins but 'THEY JUST DON'T CUT THE MEAT'! I am lactose intolerant, so milk products don't work! I'm allergic to Soy, and beans are.. well.. NOT MEAT! When I run I eat almonds but I want meat when I get home!
Good Luck Little One
Blessed Be

How old are you? Do you eggs, its meat. Do you eat fish, that's meat? Plants are living things to, do you kill them before you eat them or do you eat them alive?

So let me guess the only thing that you do ingest is water. Oops water can technically be considered living because it is the product of hydrogen and oxygen.

What happens if you hit an animal in your car? Should you be put in prison. "killing animals...its not right" is what you said. So if it is just as bad as killing a person, if you kill one in your car, should you be punished as if it were a person?

Like asked earlier, how old are you? Wait don't answer, your question already gives everyone an idea.

Vegetarian --Indigenous People word for lousy hunter
when one kills meat to eat there is nothing wrong with this as long as the killing is done with respect Indigenous People and other Ancient Cultures before they became agriculturalists ate meat as the main staple of their diet. Ancient Peoples always had ceremonies to thank and honor the animals for sacrificing their lives to provide the sustenance for their food, shelter and clothing.

Animals eat meat and they don't have any problem with it. At least we cook it first. Sheesh!

Anyway, I agree that we are now smart enough to realize that vegetables are healthier, can give us all nutrients that meat does, and is less wasteful than eating meat - but meat tastes so yummy that our habits are unlikely to change anytime soon.

...and by the way, native Americans didn't come to America. They were here first!

You already asked this and I already answered. I personally think the gal above me is being WAY too nice. We didn't COME to America either---get out a dictionary and look up the word "native."

Nobody frankly asked you what you thought was "right" either. Keep your holier-than-thou junk to yourself until you at least graduate middle school. Better yet, go to a library--seems they aren't doing a good job where you go as it is!

WELL, I don't kill the animals, I just go tot he store and buy the stuff, and then eat it, and I don't feel bad about it either... It tastes good to me. Besides, It is not like you are killing a human. I can see where your coming from, but get over it. Lol.. besides, If we didn't kill them they would overpopulate the earth.

You would be in a much better mood if you'd just give in and eat a cheeseburger, already.

The human body needs protein to survive. Protein and iron. And you can't find all that you need in a bean.

Again. Cheeseburger. Extra bacon. You'll feel much better.

Meat-eating would have started in pre-historic times when people were nomads and agriculture was unknown. Easiest way was to kill animals and eat them.
