5'7" is not tall so don't sweat it. If you are young and are worried about maybe making in to 6'2" (which is tall), here's what you do - start depriving yourself of basic nutrients (calcium, protien, etc), start smoking, don't excercise, and confine yourself to small spaces for extended periods of time. I am of course kidding. Actually, for my tastes, your a little on the short side (5'10" would be my ideal). Really, don't worry about it.

There is no way to reduce your height. But why would you want to? What's wrong with being 5'7"? I'm a 6' tall woman, and I'm just fine. I'm very proud of my height!

I don't know how old you are, but I'm guessing you may be a teenager or pre-teen and you are taller than all of your friends. Believe me, I know how difficult that can be. You may also be taller than most of the guys you know, which can also be tough.

The good news is that this will not last. MANY women are 5'7" or taller. MANY men will grow to be taller than you (and if they aren't, who cares! I'm taller than most women AND men, and it hasn't hurt me at all). Almost everyone feels awkward about his or her body as a teen. While you're at home feeling sad because you're taller than everyone else, I promise you that there is a least one person at your school who feels sad because he or she is shorter than everyone else. Or thinner. Or heavier. Or bustier. Or flatter.

There are some wonderful, beautiful tall women out there! I dare you to find a super-model under 5'10" tall. You know why? Because clothing looks good on a tall frame! Height can be an asset in sports, too. Look at basketball and volleyball players!

I can't promise you that being tall is always easy (come shopping with me sometime!) but it is something to be proud of. I hope you wouldn't put me down because I am 6', so don't put yourself down for being 5'7".

Talk to the other girl on here who is 5'5", and trade bodies w/ her.

Jeez.

Why aren't people happy with the body that God gave them? I mean, I keep fantasizing about being "with" a 6' woman... and this lady doesn't even want to be 5'7"?

Learn to be HAPPY with the body God has given you. Learn to take care of it, and keep it healthy. Learn all about it, so you'll be able to talk to your doctors and know what they're telling you.

If your height is making you "very sad" then you will always be "very sad". Do you wish to be very sad for the rest of your life?

Unfortunatly there is no way to reduce your height, or even stop yourself from growing. While you do grow more at night while sleeping, you grow during the day too. 5'7" really isn't a bad height, I have friends who are girls who are over 6' tall. Its just something you are going to have to deal with, I'm sorry.

Please don't be sad. You're perfect.
5'7" is a nice height for a woman.
Presuming you're young now, as you grow older you'll see all the benefits (!) that come with being a tall person - and you'll wish for even more height.
By the way, you cannot reduce your height, so, learn to be happy with it!

To the best of my knowledge, there is no known method, medical or otherwise, to reduce height, though there are quite a few height increasing methods. Anyway, look out for other answers or consult a doctor to see if they can help you out.

There's not much you can do to change your height.... but you can change the way you think about yourself and your height. Think about all the positive things about yourself and your body. Find a role model.

Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet are both 5'7"

The website I sourced is mostly for people with a problem with their weight, but it still has useful suggestions.
