That is a trick question. Depends on how much usage you use your laptop. All laptop batteries are different. Newer laptops are put out which are getting more energy efficient with better batteries also.

Do you mean how long if left on standby, again would depend on the computer!! There is different in usage if you run a DVD movie, versus just computing on it.

No matter what it's advertised at - realistically, you're lucky to get 2 hours from any battery. Mine lasts about 45 minutes. The new dual-core computers actually use less power plus the batteries are better so between the 2, they supposedly last longer..... I'd have to use one myself to believe it.

The best thing to do is to unplug your computer and use it until the warning beep and then plug it in for a full recharge. I have my computer plugged in almost all the time so it's not an issue for me. Also booting on the battery uses a lot of energy.....

It depends on your operating system, type and capacity of battery, power conservation settings. There are too many variables to say.

To put it in a very technical way,it will last much longer if you don't turn it on.
