I didn't mean to like you,
I didn't mean to care,
I didn't mean to fall for you,
I didn't mean to stare.
I didn't mean to wonder,
I didn't mean to think of you,
I didn't mean to feel so hopeless,
everytime you passed me by.
I didn't mean to laugh
at every stupid joke,
I didn't mean to forget
that I was against doing any of this.
Just like I forgot that I didn't mean to love you.
I forgot everthing that I didn't mean to do,
I wouldn't take a second back and undo the
things I didn't mean to.

I like your poem very much! It describes how we feel/do things
that maybe we know/think we shouldn't.
I like Jewel's poem answer too. Here is an example of "free verse" I wrote. Check out www.poetry.com Great site where you can post your work, enter Poetry/Haiku cash contests.
Karen
If I held your restless being any nearer,
If I drank of your sweet wine kisses any deeper,
If I listened to the siren-song that is your voice, any harder,
If I watched your every graceful move any closer,
If I floated on your intoxicating scent any higher,
I would surely lose you.
You would run screaming into the night.
I must temper my love-lust with some impossible semblance of sanity.

I can see this was written from your soul. Because of this, it touched mine. Keep writing, it is a wonderful way to express yourself. That you can share something so personal with others is amazing. It is like giving a piece of yourself away to someone you do not know. Do you believe this to be true? I wonder.

I didn't mean to read this,
I didn't mean to look;
But you are quite good at this,
Why don't you write a book?
Have Fun! Sounds good so far.
Now let's see what you can do with free verse!
Try it out, it's harder than ryming.

I think that is very good. i use to write poems all the time and I found that it does a lot for you emotionally to express your self in words.

This is good. Well thought out. I'm no poet, but I thought it was somewhat thought provoking.
